Each of us has the potential of being given a gift by the divine, which results in the body and soul becoming unified.... Through it (Reiki), the human being will first be made healthy, and then peace of mind and joy in life will be increased..."

Reiki healing like other hands-on healing systems is based on spiritual life force energy. Reiki is not taught, but is rather transmitted as a series of attunements from a Reiki master teacher to the student. Anyone, even children, can receive these attunements, as they serve to open a portal to link individuals to the spiritual intelligence governing our planet. In addition to empowering individuals to transmit the reiki energy to heal, the reiki attunements also assist individuals in their spiritual growth.

Meaning of Reiki

The Japanese word Rei-Ki essentially means spiritual life force energy. This universal life force energy, also known as prana in India, and Chi or Qi in China is present in all living things and is the key component to a vibrant existence.

How Does Reiki Work?

Reiki energy is channled by placing the hands on or slightly above the recipient's body. The Reiki practitioner does not create or direct the spiritual healing energy, but merely serves as a vehicle to transport it from the universal source to the recipient, who can be human, animal or plant - any thing that lives and breathes.

Benefits of Reiki

Reiki healing treatments generally result in an overall relaxation response. It promotes the body's ability to heal itself, revitalizes and accelerates the healing process, relieves physical and emotional blockages, calms the mind and stimulates more spiritual awareness. Reiki healing supports all other treatment programs, including standard medical procedures.
